A spirit this rooted in a place deserves a brand that carries that place with it.

Isle of Harris Distillers make two exceptional products: the award-winning Isle of Harris Gin and The Hearach, the first legally distilled whisky on Harris. Their distillery is a destination. Their story is genuine. Their ambition is global. Over several years, our work has grown from a website redesign into a full creative and marketing partnership — online, in-market, and across the world.

Website Design & E-Commerce Build

The website isn't just a shop. It's where the island begins.

We redesigned and rebuilt the distillery's direct-to-consumer site using ShopifyPlus, with one brief: make it easier to buy and harder to leave without feeling something about the island. New gin shop architecture. Interactive stockist map. Deep integration with back-office and courier systems. A Journal section that tells the stories behind the spirit.

A platform that works as hard commercially as it does creatively.

Isle of Harris Cèilidh Campaign — Christmas 2022

Not a luxury. A reason to get together

Harris Gin's first year in retail coincided with a cost-of-living squeeze. We built a campaign around the Gaelic tradition of the Cèilidh — a gathering, a visit, a moment of connection — to frame the gin as part of how people come together, not a luxury to cut. Our strategy weaved together outdoor, Classic FM, and paid social.

  • Eight million impacts.

  • Over 2,000 online sales.

  • Almost 3,000 clicks to the site at a cost-efficient £0.33 per click.

  • 54% more efficient paid social sales versus the prior year.

Share Our Island Spirit — Christmas 2023

Harris Gin. The gift they actually wanted.

Building on the Cèilidh platform, the 2023 campaign focused on the gin gift sets. We filmed the packaging with the care it deserved: unboxing reveals, focus pulls, shallow depth of field. National media, digital OOH in premium locations, paid social. The motion assets have been used repeatedly across channels long after the campaign window closed.

Global Awareness Campaign — Gin & Whisky

The Hearach and Harris Gin go international.

Isle of Harris Gin and The Hearach Whisky, introduced simultaneously to super-premium spirit drinkers in the USA, Canada, and Germany. Deep consumer profiling shaped the targeting. Data-driven optimisation ran throughout. Retargeting reinforced brand recognition in key locations.

  • 11,000,000+

reached in the USA per campaign.

  • 20%

More link clicks than forecast in Germany

  • 2.72%

CTR in Canada at low cost

Global Travel Retail — Airport Screen Installations

Scotland’s airports just became Harris’s new showcase

For their first step into global travel retail, Isle of Harris needed something that would stop people in a busy airport. We designed a synchronised, multi-screen installation across Edinburgh and Glasgow airports: a curved bar display and a three-sided column, wrapping travellers in the sights of Harris. No audio permitted, so every frame had to carry the story on its own. Cinematic footage, AI-extended photography, precise playback across every format. Two million passengers through both airports in September alone.

It's not often you get to work with a team that understands both the creative and the commercial side of what you're trying to do. This was exactly that.
